Profile

I am a Lecturer in Leadership within the Work, Employment, Management and Organisations (WEMO) department of the School of Business. I joined the University of Leicester in 2022 and have held positions at Nottingham Trent University and The University of Sheffield. Before moving to the United Kingdom, I worked as a researcher at Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, and the University of Lagos, Nigeria. I also have industry experience in the manufacturing sector having previously worked with Nestle Nigeria Plc and PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc. I hold a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Lagos State University, an M.Sc. in Organisational Behaviour from the University of Lagos, and a PhD in Management (with an emphasis in Work Psychology) from The University of Sheffield, UK. My research interests are in the areas of organisational leadership, followership and work psychology. My research have been published in peer-reviewed journals.

Research

My research interests are in organisational leadership and followership (bright and dark sides of leadership), workplace relationships, team working, and employee well-being. More closely, I research the Dark Side of Leadership (e.g., narcissism). My research around narcissism stems from my PhD where I examined the effect of leader narcissism on individual and team well-being, with quantitative data from leaders and individuals nested in teams. Some of my research outputs are listed below:
