Profile

I am a PhD Researcher based in the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment at the University of Leicester. My project aims to develop and apply luminescence-based approaches for characterising catchment sediment fluxes in order to better understand the geomorphic controls on rates of sediment transfer through the landscape. This is funded by a competitive Future 50 Scholarship awarded by the University of Leicester. I am supervised by Dr Andrew Carr, Dr Mark Powell and Dr Joerg Kaduk.

Prior to starting my PhD, I received a BSc in Geography from the University of Leicester. My final year dissertation applied a luminescence-based approach to understand catchment sediment fluxes in the Mojave River, California. This was awarded the Bruce May Dissertation Prize for the best Physical Geography dissertation submitted by a final year student of an undergraduate programme in the Department of Geography.
