I have a PhD in biochemistry and obtained a postdoctoral Daphne Jackson Fellowship to work on new drugs to target malaria. I also have a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education) and an FHEA (Fellow of the Higher Education Authority). Currently I co-lead the clinical teaching fellows team and lead the infection module which happens in the second semester of year one in the medical school. I am also involved with teaching second year physiologists in the School of Biological Sciences.
