Wherefore art thou Romeo
In a story which could have come from the pen of the Bard himself, our security team were notified that there was a parrot outside the David Wilson library.
After quickly responding to the call, and using their best parrot taming techniques, the team captured and took care of the bird, while contacting the RSPCA as they were concerned about its welfare.
In the meantime, someone in the team spotted an article in the Leicester Mercury about a person in the Rushey Mead area of the city who had lost their parrot.
The team got in touch with the owner who came to campus to confirm that indeed, it was their parrot, named Romeo, who is now safely back with his family. While parting was such sweet sorrow, thankfully this avian assignment had a happy ending.
Another feather in the cap of the European University Security Team of the Year.
