Space training programme for Chinese students
This month, the University is welcoming a large delegation of engineering undergraduates from Beihang University in Beijing who will undertake a bespoke space training programme.
Alasdair Hamilton, First Secretary at the British Embassy in Beijing and lead of the Beijing Science and Innovation Network (SIN) programme, will be speaking at the opening ceremony on Monday 6 August. The two-week Summer School includes talks by leading experts in their fields will provide students with their first exposure to the world-class research in space science which takes place at the University of Leicester.
There will be sessions at the National Space Centre, Harwell, visits to the Science Museum, Woolsthorpe Manor, home of Sir Isaac Newton for many of his experiments.
