Top awards for Leicester School of Business Dean

Professor Zoe Radnor, Dean of our School of Business, has won two prestigious awards from the British Academy of Management (BAM).

Professor Radnor, who was chair of the organisation in 2013, was given one of its highest honours at its annual conference last week at Warwick University, when she was made a BAM Fellow, a recognition of her contribution to the organisation over many years.

Specifically, the Fellowship acknowledges the international profile of her research and significant contribution to the well-being of BAM over a number of years.

Professor Radnor, who is also Professor of Service Operations Management in ULSB, was also presented with the Best Paper Award for a developmental paper in Public Management and Governance special interest group with her co-author Dr Sharon Williams of Swansea University.

The award was made by Dr Russ Glennon of Nottingham Trent University, previously a PhD student supervised by Prof Radnor.

The British Academy of Management describes itself as the leading authority on the academic field of management in the UK, supporting and representing the community of scholars and engaging with international peers. Prof Radnor has been involved with BAM for many years, including organising its previous conference at Warwick University when she worked at Warwick Business School ten years ago.

She said: “I am delighted to have been given these awards by BAM. It is an organisation I have been involved with, worked for and championed over many years now, so the awards, especially the Fellowship, mean a lot to me and bring further prestige and profile to the University’s School of Business.

“I look forward to continuing to work closely with BAM as we continue the exciting development of the School of Business here in Leicester.”
