Interview with Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow
In October, Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow visited our visited our campus to share his unique insights into the workings of Parliament with students and staff.
During his time at Leicester, Mr Bercow hosted a seminar for students in the School of History, Politics and International Relations- highlighting the collaborative ‘Parliamentary Studies’ module offered at Leicester and only 19 other institutions in the United Kingdom.
The module grants students the unique opportunity to learn how Parliament works in both theory and practice. This was followed by a lecture given by Mr Bercow entitled “The Making of a Modern Parliament”.
