Leicester launches its own MONOPOLY game
The University is to launch its very own MONOPOLY game at an event designed to help students de-stress during the exam period on Friday 13 January.
In this version, players can choose to buy the David Wilson Library, Centre for Medicine, the Attenborough Tower’s paternoster and even Victoria Park. The COMMUNITY CHEST and CHANCE cards have also been tailored for the University’s version of the popular game.
The game is being launched in conjunction with our Students’ Union's campaign designed to help students tackle exam stress as part of the University’s ongoing commitment to offering support for those dealing with the challenges of stress and mental health.
Students can take a break from revision and play the new University of Leicester MONOPOLY game along with a whole host of other games available all day on Friday 13 January in the Percy Gee Square.
The game was designed with input from staff, students and alumni of the University and those who provided three winning ideas have been chosen to receive free copies of the game. These will also be announced via social media on Friday.
All of the artwork was designed by the University’s Creative Team and the game was created in conjunction with Winning Moves, developers of MONOPOLY, under official license from Hasbro.
