Experiencing a Leicester open day

An article by the Daily Express that gives an insight into university open days for parents includes firsthand impressions of the writer's visit to Leicester's campus.

When reporter Jan Etherington took on the task of accompanying her granddaughter on her trips to prospective universities, the first stop on their travels was the University of Leicester's Department of Chemistry. Sights such as the department's periodic table display and our T-Rex skeleton Jane fascinated the two visitors, while a trip to our Oadby Student Village prompted Jan to describe the campus as 'friendly' - due in no small part to the presence of a dog for visitors to cuddle!

The article also gives some handy tips for making the most from open days, from making preparations before you set out to talking to the ever-helpful student ambassadors on campus about their university experience.
