The exhibition is also open to the public and explores artist Faiza Butt’s practice over two decades and comprises of a rich collection of work ranging from drawings to digital prints, light works and sculptural installation.

Butt’s practice is rooted in the traditional craft of Indian miniature painting and the social-political context of Pakistan where she was born and educated. The exhibition examines a range of subjects including identity and gender, global politics and consumer culture.

You can also join Faiza Butt and New Art Exchange curator Armindokht Shooshtari for a thought-provoking discussion about contemporary art from 6.30pm - 8pm on 10 November at Attenborough Arts.
