The Leicester Weekend University welcomes public to its biggest reunion yet

We are inviting staff, students, alumni, family and friends and the local community to celebrate our biggest reunion to date – ‘The Leicester Weekend 2016’.

Taking place over three days (17-18 June), the weekend will provide attendees the opportunity to partake in an eclectic array of social activities, sport, workshops and networking for all ages, in addition to hearing about the University’s recent success stories.

The myriad of activities that the occasion boasts promises to appeal to all and organisers in the Development and Alumni Relations Office look forward to welcoming alumni, members of the community and friends of the University to its campus.

Among the multitude of highlights there will be a keynote lecture from President and Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Paul Boyle CBE, a ‘Departmental Showcase and Exhibition’, bringing the University’s recent academic and research accomplishments to the public’s attention along with various interactive activities for all. There will also be exclusive VIP screenings of the Sir David Attenborough lecture entitled ‘Beauty in Nature’ and activities dedicated towards children will also be on show including a ‘Children's Interactive Show’, ‘Teddy Bear Hospital’, rides, giant games and face-painters.
