Watch an interview with Sir David Attenborough about his father and association with Leicester
Sir David Attenborough opened a new £1.5million fully-inclusive gallery wing of the Attenborough Arts Centre on Friday 29 January.
Before the event, which saw journalists from across the UK attend, Sir David was interviewed by the Creative Services team at Leicester, discussing his memories of family life on the campus and his journey to become an educationalist just like his father, Frederick Attenborough - and if he thought his father would be proud of his career.
The gallery opening followed a lecture on 'Beauty in Nature' given by Sir David on Thursday 28 January at De Montfort Hall.
