Leicester continues to invest in future biomedical research talent
The College of Medicine, Biological Sciences and Psychology offers a dynamic, modern environment for postgraduate research and to build on that is once again offering a programme of research studentships for burgeoning talent.
Across our disciplines we’re conducting research at the cutting edge. We believe that universities have a unique and critical role in advancing knowledge and helping to overcome major challenges faced by society. To deliver this, we have created two new Research Institutes and we continue to make substantial investments into a critical mass of future biomedical research talent by offering PhD studentships that will tackle some of the world’s most pressing biomedical issues.
Additionally, an MRC Funded Doctoral Training Partnership, known as ‘IMPACT’ Integrated Midlands Partnership for Biomedical Training, and the BBSRC funded Doctoral Training Programme, known as ‘MIBTP’ Midlands Integrative Biosciences Training Partnership, are also available with our partners.
We’re seeking the sharpest minds, the next wave of innovators to join us in pushing the boundaries of understanding and knowledge. Successful applicants will receive financial backing and the support of an inclusive and collaborative research culture - enabling them to realise their potential.
The closing date is 12 noon (UK time) on 6 February 2017 for the College schemes. The MRC and BBSRC schemes have different closing dates so check carefully via the web links. Plus, look out for details of new studentships coming soon.
