An Indian Summer returns to Leicester for fifth year

The University of Leicester is once again sponsoring An Indian Summer, a festival in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter that gives people the chance to experience the varied culture of India.

The annual festival is delivered by Inspirate and explores Indian culture and heritage, past, present and future. More than 10,000 visitors are expected to attend from 19 – 28 June 2014 for a mixture of film, food, theatre, music, dance, talks, games, comedy, workshops, art and exhibitions.

This year’s festival will be launched by BBC Radio Leicester on Friday 19 June live at 12pm; followed by a full day of films at the Phoenix on Saturday; a variety of performances throughout the week; a schedule of thought-provoking talks on 27 June, finishing with a host of arts, dance, yoga and cooking workshops, and more, on 27 and 28 June.
