Skating in a winter wonderland Christmas on campus
December is upon us, and with it has arrived a number of festive activities on campus to get people in the mood for Christmas.
For one day only, a synthetic ice rink took pride of place in the centre of the campus, where students, staff and members of the public were able to get their skates on for 30 minute sessions, while taking in the festive music and Christmas scenes.
The ice rink was surrounded by a festive Christmas market offering a variety of local produce, a bottle bar selling locally produced ciders and ales and even a Santa’s Grotto - in aid of the charity Child Reach.
Arts and Craft stalls offered a variety of great gift options, from jewellery and handbags to specialty loose-leaf teas.
A number of festive lights can still be seen around campus, adding a little Christmas sparkle every way you turn.
The events today kicked off the Students' Union's '12 Days of Christmas' campaign taking place between 1 - 12 December, featuring a number of activities and events to bring some festive joy to campus.
