Mayoral Election Debate 2015 at the Attenborough Arts Centre
On the evening of Thursday 30 April 2015 BBC Radio Leicester will be bringing together all seven candidates battling it out to become Leicester's next Elected Mayor at the University's Attenborough Arts Centre.
BBC Radio Leicester’s Ben Jackson will host the recorded 60-minute debate held in the theatre at Attenborough Arts Centre (formerly Embrace Arts) on Lancaster Road, Leicester, starting at 7:00pm.
The seven candidates will be taking questions from our audience made up of BBC Radio Leicester listeners plus local opinion-formers.
It is an opportunity – exactly one week before Polling Day – for local voters to raise the matters which matter most to them and to hear how each of the mayoral candidates would take the city of Leicester forward if elected.
Highlights from Thursday evening’s debate will be broadcast on Friday morning’s Breakfast Show with Jim Davis and Jo Hayward from 6:00am, with the full 60-minute debate broadcast on BBC Radio Leicester at 7:00pm on Friday evening.
