Aims
At the end of this module, students should be able to:
- Design software for single-processor embedded applications based on small, industry-standard microcontrollers
- Implement a software design using a high-level programming language
- Write a report explaining the software design and implementation process
Learning
- Seminars, computing exercises, and practical classes
- Guided independent study (private study with additional support provided in laboratory sessions)
Assessment
- Computing exercises, including oral defence of work (70%); design report (30%)
- Resit by examination
- Students will receive ongoing assessment through feedback on submitted coursework
