Digital Arts Lab

Module code: CO1110

Digital art refers to any artistic work that is created using digital technology or digital tools. It encompasses a wide range of art forms where artists use computers, software, or other digital devices to produce, manipulate, or display their work. Digital art can span across many mediums and styles, from illustrations and paintings to 3D models and animations.

Technology has revolutionised the art world, enabling artists to push the boundaries of traditional art forms and experiment with new techniques. With the advent of digital tools, artists can create, store, and share their work in entirely new ways. Digital art is often seen as a more accessible medium, as it does not require physical materials or specialised training in traditional techniques. This module will give you a solid understanding of the fundamental principles of digital art, and allow you to develop practical skills using open-source software.
