Comparative Public Opinion

This module explores the main theories, concepts and methods found in the academic study public opinion. The module will investigate mass-level political and social intolerance, civic culture and social capital, postmodernism and postmaterialism, trust in government, Euroskepticism as well as the impact of the mass media on public opinion cross-nationally. You will also be introduced to some of the basics of public opinion analysis using self-learn tutorials and comparative public opinion datasets.
