This module is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage workplace changes and understand the range of actors you'll work with in your HR role.  You'll develop an appreciation of managing people and maintaining employment relationships.

You'll learn about human resource management (HRM) in context and within the broader business environment, including social, political, economic and legal factors, plus analyse the fundamental shifts impacting work environments and their implications for traditional institutions and employee relations.  You'll gain insights in the various and often competing viewpoints necessary to understand contemporary HR practice and how to foster positive workplaces.  Throughout this module, you'll develop a deep understanding of the complexities of changing organisational dynamics and their impact on HRM practices.

By the end of the module you will have a robust understanding of HRM practices and be well-prepared to tackle the challenges of today's workplace, from implementing flexible working and wellbeing policies to people management practices, to manging relationships within an organisation.
