Academic Practice
Module code: MN7366
During this module, you'll identify and appreciate the range of, and differences between, quantitative and qualitative data-based empirical studies that inform the study of Human Resource Management and Training (HRM&T).
You'll do this by exploring how ontological and epistemological perspectives inform and influence the production of 'knowledge' in the study of HRM&T. Reflecting upon the processes and practices of effective teamwork will be an important part of your studies, especially building sustainable team relations based on managing diversity and ensuring inclusion in practice and outcomes.
Through your studies you'll develop an appreciation for the variety of educational cultures among co-students, and different national cultures in particular. You'll know how to navigate and adapt to studying in the School of Business too, as well as the UK's higher education sector.
