Module code: MN7366
This foundational module will give you the skills to excel in your human resource management and training course. You'll look at practical study skills such as time management, effective note-taking and reading for research. Reflecting on the processes and practices of effective teamwork will be an important part of your studies, especially building sustainable team relations based on managing diversity and ensuring inclusion in practice and outcomes.
You'll learn to identify and appreciate the range of, and differences between, quantitative and qualitative data-based empirical studies that inform the study of human resource management and training. By exploring how different perspectives inform and influence the production of 'knowledge' in this field.
Through your studies, you'll develop an appreciation for the variety of educational and work cultures among other students, and different national cultures in particular. You'll understand how to navigate and adapt to studying in the School of Business and in higher education.
