New Technology, Work and Organisation
Module code: MN3126
As new technologies are developed and permeate our workplaces, how we interact with them can often play a huge role in our relationship with our jobs, both positive and negative. This module will equip you with the theoretical skills and the critical toolbox necessary to harness a robust and successful understanding of working relationships between humans and machines.
You will learn key theories that explore our connection with technology and apply these in managerial and organisational contexts. You will be able to pinpoint how technologies affect our experience of the world and influence personal, social and organisational identities. Finally, you will be able to critically examine the impact of technologies on daily working life and what are the costs and benefits of their application within organisations and businesses, big and small.
