Organisational Behaviour

The study of organisational behaviour helps students to develop an understanding of individual and group behaviour and patterns of structure in order to help improve organisational performance and effectiveness. This module introduces the theory and practice behind the behaviour of businesses and organisations.
This module describes the influence of individual ability and personality on work-related behaviours and discuss key principles of motivation and job satisfaction. Students will analyse the forces affecting group processes and performance and assess the advantages and disadvantages of different organisational structures, particularly referencing organisational contingencies. Students will also examine issues including leadership, organisational learning, gender, change management, and organisational culture.
