Materials and Objects

Module code: HA1117

This module focuses on the history of artistic processes and techniques. We will answer questions such as 'how are art objects made?' and 'why does it matter?'. We will also consider issues surrounding the conservation and restoration of art works. As far as possible, objects will be studied first-hand, which will encourage you to develop skills in close visual analysis, and to gain confidence talking in front of objects.
