Advanced Macroeconomics
Module code: EC3001
Can we look through the complexity of the macroeconomic environment and identify the forces that govern movements of national income, inflation and unemployment? How do economic policies react to these movements and what is macroeconomic impact? Can we delve deeper into the circumstances that surrounded macroeconomic episodes, such as the 2007-2009 Great Recession, the more recent energy crisis or the South-European debt crisis of 2010?
These are some of the themes that this module will try and tackle and provide answers to. You will identify the main driving forces behind a nation's macroeconomic performance.
