In this module you’ll be immersed in key concepts of violence and violent crime, and how they relate to gender, sex and sexuality. Violence and violent crime have long been a feature of society, and can be explored from the perspective of the perpetrator, victim and wider society.
This module examines violence and violent crime through assessing a range of criminological, sociological, and psychological perspectives, discussing the strengths of each and drawing on evidence to evaluate competing perspectives. You'll also get the opportunity to critically reflect on learning through class discussion.
