This engaging module develops and challenges students’ observational skills. It advances their ability to "read a fire scene" by identifying and analysing burn patterns, smoke staining and other fire damage, before relating the evidence available to the science of fire development and spread to establish a credible working hypothesis of the cause and origin of a fire. Peer group learning is enhanced through an online Discussion Board. The module is assessed through application of your investigative skills to two case studies.
