Also taken in Year 3, this module will consider the key concepts of public health in the modern era. Public medicine is of increased importance in the current clinical environment. You will consider basic psychological and sociological concepts and theories relevant to current health care and relate these to the practical knowledge and insights gained elsewhere in the degree. This will include psychological and social factors that contribute to health, illness and disease and a consideration of inequalities in health and inequities in provision.
