Places of Latin America

This module will consider the literature and culture of four key regions of Latin America: the Mexican plains, the Andean highlands, the Amazonian forests, and the Argentine pampas. As well as considering the literature of these places, this course will explore different Latin American religious practices, non-literary art forms, and social and economic history. On completion of this module you will have developed an understanding of the literature and culture of four regions of Latin America. You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the social and historical development of these regions and of their cultural production through written and oral presentations.
