Your practice education placement will provide hands-on physiotherapy experience, building on the observation you would have undertaken during your first year at Leicester.

For 6 weeks, you will get the chance to put your learning into practice by contributing to a patient or client’s assessment and treatment, all under the supervision of highly experienced physiotherapy professionals. You will apply the theoretical and professional knowledge gained here at Leicester to real-life patients and clients, planning and implementing effective physiotherapy programmes justified through clinical reasoning and decision-making. You will use your physiotherapy examination skills to monitor the client’s progress and responses, changing treatment as required. 

You will also grow as a clinical professional, learning vital skills, attitudes and standards that will serve you well when working in healthcare environments. This will include incorporating the CSP Rules of Professional Conduct and the HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics into your practice.
