Spacecraft Instrumentation for Space and Planetary Science

Module code: PA7015

This module will cover instrument systems for particle detection, as well as a large part of the electromagnetic spectrum, and will provide you with a greater knowledge of the complementary nature of instruments selected for a particular mission. You will gain a greater insight into instrument development and design for space and planetary science applications. During this module you will develop the skills necessary to design an instrument for a mission based on a set of science requirements, and explain how these science requirements drive instrument selection, mission design and hence engineering requirements.
