Module code: NU2016

This module is facilitated through a combination of lectures, seminars and workshops, practice based learning and case studies delivered in small uni-professional groups and in multi-professional groups that involve students from midwifery and nursing. Tutor guided study materials and online learning activities to support your learning are also provided.

During this module you will develop the knowledge and skills to compose a critique of a research paper relating to an aspect of health care, that demonstrates a rigorous systematic approach to information searching and retrieval of relevant research sources. You will critically appraise the strength of sourced evidence and the relative merits for clinical practice, utilising this evidence to make recommendations for enhancing personal practice. In addition, the importance of applying ethical considerations related to research will be examined.
