The module builds on your knowledge of the areas considered in the first three modules of the Senior Leader Apprenticeship/Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration programme including human resource management, marketing and innovation, and finance and decision-making. The focus is on the senior leader as a leader, general manager, and jack-of-all trades.
You'll learn about different approaches to leadership at the senior level, strategy development, risk management, business problem-solving, data analysis, financial analysis, governance and legal issues, sustainability, organizational structure and design, procurement and operations as they relate to senior leaders, and apply them to your own workplace context. The focus of this module is on bringing together your understanding of the different functional areas of management but importantly, how they ought to be co-ordinated to achieve the strategic intent of the organization and your organization in particular.
Your understanding of the module content is assessed through the development of a strategic business proposal and presentation which must be applied to your own organizational context. This assessment provides you with a real opportunity to develop your work in an area that will has the potential to effect positive impact and change and will be formally submitted for your Senior Leader Apprenticeship end-point assessment as well as for your Leicester Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration.
