This exciting new module ‘Technology and Type 1 Diabetes’ led by Professor Pratik Choudhury brings together the most current thinking on technology and how it is used to support people living with Type 1 diabetes.
This dynamic and interactive distance learning module will cover in depth learning about insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors. The module will help you assess who is suitable for a pump and how to support people using this technology. Teaching will be done through lectures, case study discussion forums, live tutorials, self-assessment questions, reflective journals and self-directed study. The module learning materials can be accessed at any time during the module to allow students the flexibility to fit studying in with their work commitments. Successful completion of this module will give you 15 level 7 (MSc credits). This module can be studied as a stand-alone CPD module or part of a post graduate award (PGCert/PGDip/MSc).
