This module covers the physiological principles underlying blood pressure control, cardiovascular haemodynamics, atherosclerosis and cardiac rhythm control in health and disease. It also aims to provide students with an understanding of the broad pharmacological concepts relating to receptor sites and pharmacological manipulation whilst linking these to key cardiovascular diseases.
