Key Themes in Employment Law in the United Kingdom

Module code: LW7516 (double module)

This module will focus on some of the central themes in employment in the United Kingdom.  We will critically evaluate the relationship of human rights with employment law and discuss how the law intervenes in trade union activities and their relationships with employers and their members. Although the module is focused on employment within the UK, we will look to European Laws and International labour standards, to explore the influence they have had on laws on worker participation and the current national legal framework in the UK.
