Cities of the Global South

For the first time in human history, more than half of the world’s population now live in cities, including more than one billion people in the self-built urban peripheries of the Global South. This module uses critical urban theory and ethnographic case studies from Africa, Asia and Latin America to examine our increasingly urbanised world using a 'view from the south'.
