Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology

This applied module introduces basic concepts and techniques in practical engineering geology and hydrogeology. These branches of geoscience bridge the gap between our geological knowledge of the sub-surface and the impact of that knowledge on civil engineering projects such as buildings, quarries, dams, sea defences, and tunnels. You will develop your practical skills, such as rock and soil logging to British and European standards, and take part in exercises designed by industry partners.
