Introductory Mineral Deposits

This module is an option for the Geology degree programmes. You'll learn about ore minerals -- their structure, composition, uses, and, most importantly, how to identify them in hand-specimen. You'll then learn about some of the simpler types of ore deposits, including gold, copper, and diamonds -- what they are like, how they form, and how to find one, as well as the environmental impacts of mining them.
