Interpreting French

Module code: FR3202

This module introduces the skills required in bilateral interpreting through practice exercises and scenarios. We will reflect on key topics which should help you build a picture of the role of the interpreter, and evaluate your own performance in the activity. As your confidence grows in the second part of the module, you move significantly closer to the work of the interpreter, mainly through practice centred on business negotiation situations. You will also have the opportunity to practice chuchotage and simultaneous interpreting if you wish to.
