This module looks at the relationships between students’ learning experiences and their expectations when entering higher education, as well as how these expectations relate to the expectations of academic staff.

You'll be examining the role of critical thinking in academic contexts and discuss the use of tasks, processes and interactions that require students to demonstrate critical thinking skills. This will involve looking at the importance of student autonomy in academic contexts and identify tasks, processes and interactions that require students to work effectively in groups or independently as appropriate.

You'll also explore how new technologies enhance learning and support autonomous learning.
