Project management plays a critical role in the success of engineering projects, and successful management ensures that projects are delivered on time and on budget. In this module you will be introduced to the key skills of a project manager, the principles of project management, and the critical role it plays in the business success of a number of scenarios.

You will learn how to use the project management toolkit to deliver a project on time and on budget. You will understand the value of risk analysis, and undertake risk analysis as well as construct risk mitigation plans. Using earned value management techniques, you will be able to demonstrate how to control project execution and use standard project management software as a project planning tool.
