Attitude and Orbit Control Systems

The module introduces the limitations that classical control, based on the use of linear models, encounters in a real-world operating environment such as unmodelled dynamics and system non-linearities. The module covers advanced robust analysis tools such as small gain theorem and Lyapunov stability theory which are used to overcome these limitations. The theory is applied to some real life examples ranging from process to aerospace control.
