This module will enhance your understanding of the different research methods in the fields of Applied Linguistics and TESOL in order to conduct a research study on a topic of your own choice. You will be able to understand the ethical considerations in undertaking research and structure a dissertation appropriately. The module will also enhance your critical thinking and writing skills in preparation for writing your research proposal and dissertation. In addition, you will learn about designing your research including: choosing appropriate methodology, data collection and data analysis.
