Drawing upon international research carried out by the tutors, this pathway considers how communities of enthusiastic and engaged learners are constructed and sustained and how such community members interact with one another in their contexts. The pathway will promote your knowledge and understanding of:

• People, power and culture in particular contexts to meet the learning needs of all their members
• Organisational cultures that engage or negate the development of learners and staff
• Thinking critically about learning/teaching and social interactions in particular institutional/community contexts
• Student voice and teacher/support-staff identity
