Critical Reflections on Classroom Practice

Reflecting critically on your experience of working with young learners in the primary classroom will allow you to develop your understanding of a wide range of approaches to learning. You will reflect upon differing teaching strategies and how effective they are. You will also begin to understand the importance of utilising appropriate assessment for learning strategies. You will obtain a sound understanding of National Curriculum expectations in all areas but will focus especially upon the core subjects, engaging with relevant research. You will demonstrate an understanding of some basic qualitative research methods used in education and how these can be applied within your context in order to develop practitioner enquiry skills.
