Student stories

Adam Lightfoot (Structural Biology)

"My PhD project involves examining the post translational modifications to the Sam68 protein with a specific focus on serine/threonine phosphorylation. In order to identify these modifications we will primarily use NMR and mass spectrometry."

Galvin Leung (Biochemistry)

"My PhD project is co-supervised between Prof. Emma Raven and Dr. Andrew Hudson working towards building a biosensor for the quantification of cellular labile heme. We are using techniques that include protein expressions, fluorescent spectroscopy and in the near future, cell imaging and fluorescent microscopy."
