Juno

The University of Leicester is home to the only formal UK science lead for the Juno mission, NASA's programme to study our solar system's largest planet, Jupiter. Since the mission arrived at Jupiter in July 2016, planetary scientists and astronomers from our School of Physics and Astronomy have worked with the Juno team to provide unprecedented new insights into the interior, atmosphere, and magnetosphere of the Giant Planet.
