Leicester offers many opportunities for you to get involved in activities outside of study and joining societies is a great way of meeting like-minded people, having fun and trying something new.

You can develop the skills relevant to the media industry with the University's highly active student media team - get involved with our student radio and TV station, or join our long-running student newspaper.

Film Society

From the biggest blockbusters to the critically acclaimed corners of world cinema, Film Society is a chance to get together with like-minded people to watch and talk about your favourite films. Alongside weekly screenings we have themed bar crawls, cinema trips, film quizzes and many other socials. So, if you have a guilty pleasure for Nicolas Cage or can’t stop talking about Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive, you’ll be more than welcome.
