Colin's involvement with oral history goes back to the Leicester Oral History Archive, which he joined in 1988. Since then, he has worked with many community-based oral history projects. Colin has been with the East Midlands Oral History Archive (EMOHA) at the University of Leicester since 2001 and was seconded to the Unlocking Our Sound Heritage Midlands Hub, also at the University of Leicester, between 2018-2021. Colin has many years’ experience of giving advice, help and training in oral history. He has helped to create oral history related exhibitions, newsletters, books, CDs, videos and websites.

Helen has worked in the heritage sector for many years, devising and delivering interpretation in historic buildings for the National Trust for Scotland and learning and engagement with digital archives for Historic Environment Scotland. She has worked with many community  organisations on arts and heritage projects,  specialising in oral history archives, creative writing and reminiscence practice. She is a qualified teacher and experienced workshop facilitator.

Helen holds an MA in Heritage Studies and a PhD in Creative Writing. Her research explores the creative potential that lies in oral history archives.
